The theme for this conference is, “Sharing the Love of Jesus.”At the press launch of the event on Friday, 14th June, personal ministries director for the Eastern Caribbean, Pastor Colin Thorn stated that the upcoming event will be an exceptional one, not only for members of the Adventist Church, but by extension the people of Dominica. The Pastor noted that the festival will focus on celebrating how good God has been to his people.“This festival is also saying to the families and members that we appreciate what you have done and what you are doing and we want to encourage and motivate you to continue doing the work of the Lord,” he said.Saturday’s activity will include testimonies, singing, praying and a sermon by Evangelist Lindsey Bowen. The event, which is not an annual one, was last held 4 years ago.According to Pastor Thorn, “We like to space it out so it does not become redundant and it also gives the districts time to put their reports together as they are required to report on what they have been doing”.The Festival of the Laity commences at 9:00 a.m. with welcome remarks by Rommel Toussaint and will end at 6:00 p.m. after the removal of colors. There are nine Seventh Day Adventist ministers in Dominica and over 17 million Seventh Day Adventists across the world. The event is also opened to non- Adventists as well.Dominica Vibes News Tweet Sharing is caring! 390 Views   one comment FaithLifestyleLocalNews Seventh Day Adventists to celebrate Festival of the Laity by: – June 14, 2013center_img Share Share Sharelast_img
