Ravindra Jadeja has been on a roll on Friday. He dominated the West Indies bowlers with the bat to bring up his maiden Test century on day two of the first Test and then on the field, he almost gave Ravichandran Ashwin a heart-attack with his fun and games.Jadeja, who was fielding on mid-wicket, jogged all the way towards the bowlers end and waited for the last moment to break the stumps to run Shimron Hetmyer out.To which, Ashwin was extremely surprised while captain Virat Kohli was seen surprised and asking Jadeja what he was doing when the run out could have been affected in a much easy way.Hetmyer worked the ball towards the leg side and set off initially. Sunil Ambris responded to the call but Hetmyer had changed his mind and within a few seconds, both batsmen are within handshaking distance of each other and then both went back into the batting crease.India vs West Indies: Live Blog | Live Cricket Score | ScorecardFollowing which, a frustrated Ambris plonked his bat at the striker’s end and amidst all this, Jadeja was having a bit of fun and didn’t release the throw. Seeing that, Hetmyer started to run and made an attempt to complete the run. Kohli also notched up a hundred — his 24th in Test cricket but it was Pant and Jadeja’s attacking batting, that led India’s charge on day two of the Test match.Pant smashed 92 off 84 balls, hitting eight boundaries and four sixes before falling to Devendra Bishoo while trying to hit another six.Jadeja, who walked in after the fall of Pant’s wicket, took his time to settle in and finally opened up once wickets started to fall from the other end.Jadeja’s hundred did not come before some drama. Mohammed Shami, the last man in, is no mug with the bat but he had to survive a few testing deliveries from Bishoo. But Jadeja eventually got there with a single off Kraigg Brathwaite. He already had three triple hundreds in first-class cricket and this hundred was only a matter of time.Jadeja remained unbeaten on 100 off 132 balls at a strike-rate of 75.76.
