More passengers took flights to international dest

first_imgMore passengers took flights to international destinations from Bristol in May, despite the disruption to schedules caused by the volcanic ash cloud. That is according to new figures which revealed that passenger numbers increased by 5.3 percent at the hub in May, with ten percent more people taking international flights than in the same month last year.May represented the fifth consecutive month in which Bristol saw increasing passenger numbers – over 500,000 people passed through the terminal in that period.Commenting, Shaun Browne, Bristol Airport’s aviation director, said that the hub is seeing strong demand for both business and leisure travel. However, he warned: “This continued growth underlines the need to develop and enhance facilities for passengers.”Throughout the busy summer season, passengers are being asked to allow sufficient time at the airport to check-in, drop bags, clear security and board their flight.”Bristol is currently preparing for the arrival of a new service to Shannon, which will be operated by Aer Lingus six times a week from July 1st.ReturnOne wayMulti-cityFromAdd nearby airports ToAdd nearby airportsDepart14/08/2019Return21/08/2019Cabin Class & Travellers1 adult, EconomyDirect flights onlySearch flights Map RelatedSecurity fast pass system at BristolSecurity fast pass system at BristolFlights to Shannon launched from BristolAer Lingus Regional has commenced direct flights to Shannon from BristolBristol Airport reports rise in cheap flights passenger turnoverBristol Airport reports rise in cheap flights passenger turnoverlast_img read more
